Anna Maria Ortese was very fond of France, even though she knew little about it.
She died in Rapallo in 1998.
This great lady of literature remains a key literary figure in Italian intellectual life.
Patrick Mégevand was her friend for the last twenty years of her life, and now has a correspondence containing 117 letters and cards. Part of this correspondence was published in Italy in June 2017. Roberta Apicella, actress, will read in French extracts from works and letters addressed to Patrick Mégevand.
