Since the end of the Neolithic period, during the metal ages, then during the Roman period and finally during the medieval and modern periods, the men present on these high mountain sites have left representations with various symbolism.
The engravings of cattle, carriages, weapons and geometric figures were made during the Protohistory, while the motifs of coats of arms, firearms, texts and pastoral and popular drawings are historical.
