L'Authion

The M5A1 tank is an original tank of the mountain infantry bataillon of the 1st Free French Division. It was immobilised by an anti-tank mine on the Authion plateau on April 10th 1945. Pushed into a ravine on August 11th because it blocked the road, it was erected as a memorial in 2005 to celebrate he 60th anniversary of the liberation of the town of Moulinet. It is now a memorial to commemorate the liberation of the city of Moulinet.
