The Pendimoun Shelter, which overlooks the sea at 690 m above sea level, is located at the foot of the Roc de l'Orméa, culminating at 1,132 m. This first-rate prehistoric site, discovered in 1955, was occupied for nearly ten thousand years, mainly from 6,000 to 4,000 BC, Pendimoun recounts the way of life of these pioneers who grew barley and wheat before harvesting them with flint sickles.
