Chapel Our Lady of Fountains

Nicknamed "The Little Sastin of the Maritime Alps", this painted chapel is the distant heir to a sacred shrine built above seven intermittent springs.
Many legends feed the history of this place and these springs, whose flow changes during the day bringing even more mystery.
The first mention of the chapel dates back to 1375, two Renowned Piedmontese Italian painters at the time are called in order to create the decorations of the interior walls:
Giovani Baleison who will adorn the heart and then Giovani Canavesio for the whole of the nave. A total of 225m2 of frescoes will be created of remarkable realism and quality.
A true comic strip, which will transport the visitor from the birth of Mary to her Assumption, the passion of Christ, the hanging of Judas and a spectacular Last Judgment of 35m2.
An inauguration of the paintings will take place on October 12, 1492...
